Sunflower lecithin belongs to the group of nutrients known as fats and phospholipids, which bear the name phosphadylcholine. It is important to know that even a tireless heart has a high lecithin content. Scientific publications in well-known US media report that people who take it for several weeks lower their cholesterol levels by 41%.

Lecithin of plant origin is better than animal and helps to dissolve cholesterol more efficiently, decomposes it into small particles and penetrates softly into the body tissues. In a low lecithin diet, cholesterol particles increase their volume and lower the blood vessels by reducing their illumination.

Sunflower lecithin for liver and bile
Lecithin provides the body with a natural source of choline (B4), which acts as a building block for acetylcholine, a substance in the brain that plays an important role in stimulating memory. Choline strengthens the liver, bile and improves the circulation of fat and cholesterol. Qualitative lecithin is distinguished by a higher level of phosphatidyl.

Lecithin plays a protective role in the liver by helping collagen degradation to help prevent the fibrosis and cirrhosis that alcohol causes. Already cirrhosis is a reversible process by adding lecithin to the diet and proper nutrition, the disease can turn its course.

As an example, the phospholipid content of sunflower is 98% and in other species about 80%. Lecithin forms part of the bile and increases the ability of bile juices to bring cholesterol through the bloodstream. Degrading fat prevents the formation of gallstones.

      Sunflower lecithin for brain health
Sunflower lecithin is extremely useful in atherosclerosis, varicose veins, and a major nutrient for nerves that make up 17% of the nervous system. It is a major component in the formation of myelin. Its deficiency leads to nervous tension, irritation, fatigue, brain exhaustion, hyperactivity and even a complete nervous breakdown. In the myelin layer of people with MS (multiple sclerosis) the amount of lecithin is below normal. Its spending is exacerbated when negative feelings and emotions such as anger, hate, envy, fear, grief are experienced. Approximately 30% of the brain consists of lecithin, when it comes to isolating and protective tissues surrounding the brain, the spine and thousands of meters of nerves, lecithin represents 2/3 of their composition.

Only 14 grams of sunflower lecithin per day is a good way to improve your memory, with no side effects as opposed to other prescribed agents for the treatment of brain dysfunction.

In case of insufficiency, the fat-soluble A, D, E, K can not be processed in the body. It is important as a synergistic element in their metabolism, as well as the vitally needed B complex. Upon addition of lecithin, their uptake is improved to 100%. If you are constantly engaging in physical exercise, increasing muscle mass requires more lecithin, and slight drowsiness can be observed (due to muscle stretching).

Dr. Dietrich of Texas has published that the insulin requirement for diabetics is reduced if lecithin is added to the diet. As the data show, in patients with scarring, there is a significant decrease in the level of this substance in myelin envelopes compared to healthy people. Data show that sclerosis is prevalent in countries where unsaturated fats are missing in the diet. It is obvious that psoriasis is partly related to improper fat treatment and is usually accompanied by elevated cholesterol, so 3 to 5 tablespoons added to the diet help relieve this disease. Efficacy is also seen with other skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rash, pimples.

Sunflower lecithin in pregnancy and lactation
Lecithin is a necessary food in the ration of pregnant and nursing women as it participates in the formation and normal development of the brain and the nervous system of the child. It is interesting to note that breast milk contains lecithin and provides normal development of the neonatal nervous system, as opposed to cow's milk. When clogging the breastfeeding grooves, it is recommended that sunflower lecithin is used as a non-allergenic product, unlike soybeans. One teaspoon a day reduces the milk's viscosity (density) and increases the percentage of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the body.

Sunflower lecithin in severe illness or stress
Adding it is recommended after prolonged and severe illness, physical stress, traumas, and intense sports training. Reduces pain in the joints, facilitates their mobility due to their linoleic acid content.

Sunflower lecithin in menopause, depression or headache
Lecithin is suitable for menopausal women, prevents mood swings, depression, headaches and other symptoms typical of this period, regulates the hormonal background. In case of thyroid hypogonadism, the use of soy products is not desirable because it suppresses it - sunflower is an alternative to them. It comes from the sunflower oil extraction. It is distinguished by the soybean composition and content of unsaturated fatty acids. Unlike soybean, it does not contain estrogen-like substances, does not cause allergic reactions, it is not genetically modified Soy contains about 15 proteins that act allergens.

It is best to use lecithin powder as it is not subjected to further treatment in capsules, it avoids the cost of the product and no additional ingredients are added to the capsules. The dose is from 1 to 10 grams depending on whether it is for prophylaxis or is intended for bio-correction. A number of studies have been conducted on the benefits of lecithin. Brief conclusions are a good reason to include it in the daily diet of all age groups, both pregnant and nursing women.

I've been taking this stuff for years, started with Soy Lecithin and then graduated to Sunflower Lecithin which is a superior product. Sam Graci (CDN) referred to lecithin as an edible detergent and who doesn't need to be cleaned out as they get older.
