100 g. Buzak (Sambucus ebulus), dried fruit
Buzak fruits are used in hemorrhoids, constipation, heartache, sciatica, neuralgia.
What is Buzak?
Buzak is a perennial plant. Its leaves are serrated and the flowers are white, with a pleasant smell. Its fruits are small, black and shiny, with three elongated seeds inside. The plant can be found in mountainous areas and in river valleys where sunlight does not shine directly.
The flowers are harvested when more than 2/3 of them are in bloom, the fruits are harvested in the fall when they are black. Greenish fruits should not be used for consumption. The parts used by this plant are the flowers, fruits and bark of the stem.
It is distributed all over the country up to 1800 m above sea level. In herbs, the fruit (Fructus Ebuli) and the root (Radix Ebuli) are used, and rarely the flowers (Flores Ebuli).
The flowers contain a small amount of essential oil, cinogenic glycoside and sugars; fruits - anthocyanin dyes, sugars, valeric, malic and tartaric acids, tannins, resins, pectin, vitamin C and others. Green fruits and seeds contain cyanogenic glycoside, which is why they are poisonous, but the juice of ripe fruits is not poisonous. The roots contain tannins and tannins.
Application:
For beverage preparation - elixir for adults. It can be used for hemorrhoids, constipation, heartache, sciatica, neuralgia.
Usage:
to 400 ml. boiling water add 1 tsp. of dried fruits. Allow it to simmer for 3 minutes, then soak for 15 minutes. Strain and drink the liquid for one day. The fruits are eaten after straining.
