This sesame is a variety of white with a richer taste, but similar nutritional qualities - high in calcium, iron, magnesium, copper, omega-3 and omega-6 and B vitamins.

Black sesame is an exceptional source of calcium. Studies show that 1 g of black sesame contains about 85 milligrams of calcium. Black sesame also contains large amounts of protein, phosphorus, iron and magnesium. Recommended for recovery from serious illness, fever or constipation.
